Tecnam announced today that Reykjavik based Icelandic Flight Academy (IFA) was significantly expanding its fight training fleet with the addition of a further two Tecnam P2002JF’s this month.

Air Force of the Dominican Republic acquires the Tecnam P2006T ‘Special Mission Platform’
Tecnam today announced that the Dominican Republic Air Force (FARD) would be the first military operator of the Tecnam P2006T SMP (Special Missions Platform) aircraft. The primary role for this P2006T SMP aircraft will be Countering Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) and support the Dominican Republic Navy (ARD) and the Dominican Republic’s National Drug Control Direction (DNCD).

Garmin awarded one of their D2 Pilot Watches to the guest who had flown the furthest to reach Augsburg. Despite visitors flying in from Austrian, the Czech Republic, France, The Netherlands, Slovenia and Switzerland, the winner was actually a pilot who had flown from Bremen in Germany itself!

Tecnam announced today that EASA has fully certified an alternative avionic system for the Tecnam P Twenty Ten based on Garmin G500 glass cockpit suite.
